NimbleTools provides several tools students may use to alter the color and contrast of the test. These tools include the Color Choice Tool, which changes text and background colors; the Color Overlay Too,l which allows students to place a colored overlay over test content; and the Reverse Contrast Tool which alters the contrast of the entire test interface. All text, graphics, and interactive buttons are made with vectors, so everything in the test is sharp, making it easier for all students to use the test. Details of each color and contrast tool are described below.
Color Choice
Color Choice Tool:
- Allows the student to pick from a menu of proven color combinations for text and background.
- Students can turn the tool on or off at any time during the test.
Color Overlay
Color Overay Tool:
- Allows the student to pick from a panel of proven color choices.
- Students can change the overlay color choice, or turn the tool on or off at any time during testing.
Reverse Contrast
Reverse Contrast Tool:
- Reverses the color of the entire test interface.
- Works hand-in-hand with the Color Overlay tool, so that text and graphics can be in color.
- Students can turn the reverse contrast off or on at any time during testing.
