NimbleTools provides three magnification options. One tool was developed for moderate-vision users andworks like an interactive magnifying glass. A separate tool was developed for low-vision users, who need a higher level of magnification, and a reduction in head movement. This is called the Microscope Tool, because it allows students to move the content into their area of sight, like moving a slide around on a microscope. Finally, the Enlarger Tool provides a specialized interface that helps keep track of information that appears off the screen when it is magnified. Details for each tool are below.
Magnifier Tool

Magnifier Tool Features:
- This tool allows students to enlarge the entire screen.
- Students can adjust the amount of magnification by clicking and dragging the small circle on the bottom edge of the magnifying screen, or by pressing plus or minus keys on the keyboard.
- The entire test is magnified, so all content and test controls are sharp, and fully interactive.
Microscope Tool

Microscope Tool:
The Microscope Tool is intended for students with very low vision. Students may magnify any part of the screen by pointing to it with the mouse. It is shown above used in conjunction with the Read Aloud Tool, a common combination of accommodations for low-vision students. For students with very low vision or who are blind, all navigation is performed with a keyboard, and all interactive objects and content are automatically read aloud. All interactive features work using tab/enter controls.
Englarger Tool

The Enlarger Tool simplifies the test interface by hiding some of the interface controls, enlarging the test question, but retaining the control panel. Students who occasionally need content magnified benefit from this specialized interface which helps students keep track of information that is no longer visible on the screen after magnification.
